Where are the products made?
Treehaus Botanicals products are all handmade, small batch, one at a time, in Berlin.

What are hydrosols and do they affect the smell of the product?
Hydrosols are also known as floral water, and they’re made by steam extracting medicinal or aromatic compounds from herbas and flowers.
Some have a light scent, like rose and lavender, while others are almost neutral in smell. They are added mainly for their medicinal or magical properties, and less for the scent, so the fragrance remains almost indistinguishable even if the hydrosol content changes.

Have you studied botany or herbalism?
No, I’ve always had an interest in plants, and in healing, but I am autodidact in everything.
I do however study plants and herbalism on my own in the form of books, blogs, apps, and courses, such as the ones pictured below, and I was creating products for myself long out of need and curiosity long before I ever considered producing them for others.

Do you make custom products?
Absolutely! Contact us for a chat and a quote.

Do you accept returns?
Not unless the product is damaged or misrepresented somehow, or we sent you the wrong product by accident.
This is due to both the nature of the products, and the fact that the company is a tiny, self funded endeavour.
Please check out the return policy before making a purchase, and if you have any questions before or after purchasing, please contact us directly!
We will get back to you asap.

Where do you ship to and how much does it cost?
We ship worldwide and the shipping rates are based on the weight and dimensions of the package as well of the surcharge of tracking information, and will be calculated at checkout. Please note that some countries outside of the EU can add import taxes to your purchases. This is unrelated to us, and is not something we as a business have any kind of influence on or responsibility for, and it is therefore not covered by general shipping costs. Read more about shipping here.
If you plan on making a large order, please ask for a shipping quote before making a purchase.

Do you ship plastic free/are your products sustainable?
Sustainability is a word that gets thrown around a lot because everyone can use it, and there are no actual requirements for calling your products sustainable. That being said, we try to make every part of the process as sustainable as possible, and it is our aim to grow and forage as many of our ingredients as possible, and sustainability is always a factor when we look for suppliers.

As for shipping, the only plastic used is reused, meaning we already had that piece of bubble wrap lying around from a package, so we might as well reuse it (and we encourage you to do the same)!
Flyers are printed locally on recycled paper, and the labels are made from recycled wood pulp, are compostable and printed with vegan inks.

In the product description is says that the products are “made in a calm, drama- and, as much as possible, cruelty-free environment”… why?
When dealing with products that are meant to be used intentionally like these are, it makes no sense if, during production, someone sits down on a bad day, feeling angry or sad, and create a product that’s supposed to help someone else attract abundance or feel shielded from those same energies.
So the products are only created on those really good days, as to not unintentionally infuse them with any unwanted energy.

Cruelty free is hopefully self explanatory, however, as with the question of sustainability, labelling something “cruelty free” is, in our opinion, not always completely honest, as it sometimes doesn’t take into consideration cruelty to human lives in any production chain.

The products are vegan, and as for cruelty free, we say “as much as possible” in the hopes that one day it’ll maybe be 100%.
With most products labeled as vegan, that only means that the ingredients used are vegan.
With Treehaus Botanicals however, the company itself is vegan and everyone involved in production are vegans themselves, meaning your money will never go towards intentional animal cruelty when making a purchase from us.
On the contrary, we donate monthly to animal sanctuaries.
