Description

The Artemisia Smoke Bundle is a smoke cleansing tool made from mugwort and sea wormwood.
Mugwort is known as a magical herb that of brings protection and good luck, and is often associated with divination rituals and dreaming.
Known as the Mother of Herbs, its botanical name ‘Artemisia’ comes from the moon Goddess Artemis, a goddess of creativity, psychic ability, and spiritually, and mugwort is used to boost those exact qualities.

Medically speaking, mugwort is known to regulate erratic menstruation*, and help with menopausal symptoms. It can be used as a tonic for digestion because it promotes appetite and bile production, and as a tonic for nerves because of its mild sedative qualities.
Mugwort is a disinfectant and an antiseptic and can be used for colds, bronchitis, and fevers. Mugwort has long been known as a powerful herb when it comes to offering protection and legend says that Roman soldiers would put it in their sandals to prevent injury in battle. In China, mugwort is often hung over doors to protect the home and prevent evil spirits from entering, and in Germany it was worn as a girdle to protect the wearer against bad luck. It was also used during summer solstice celebrations in European Pagan tradition.

Sea wormwood (Artemisia maritima)
Also known as Old Woman, Sea wormwood is a highly fragrant, coastal plant which possesses the same properties as the other Wormwoods but is less common and less powerful. The flowering tops and young shoots are used, collected and dried in the same manner as wormwood and have many medicinal qualities. Though not used that often medicinally, it can be used as a treatment for fever, as an antiseptic, as a bitter, and it’s also commonly occurring in alcoholic drinks.

Directions: As a highly effective cleansing herb, mugwort is a great substitute for Palo Santo and White Sage, and sea wormwood, having been one of our favorite plants since childhood due to its rich aroma, goes beautifully with mugwort in our opinion.
